Rotherham’s local NHS charity will be getting behind Rotherham Day by decorating their hub in red on the 18th and encouraging NHS staff and supporters to wear red on the day! They'll be sharing what Rotherham means to them across their social media channels, inspiring others to celebrate the power of community.

The Lord Reresby Pub
To celebrate Rotherham Day, we’ll be transforming the pub with red decorations and encouraging everyone to wear red to show their Rotherham pride. We'll also be hosting a big celebration featuring a disco and karaoke, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere where the community can come together and enjoy the occasion.
Barnardo's
We are joining in the fun on the 18th September by holding an event outside the shop. We are planning on doing a Tombola, lucky dip, blind date books, lucky bags and a cake stall. We will also be offering in store discounts for any customers wearing something red. Our shop will be trimmed up accordingly
Rotherham District Civic Society Tour Guides
To celebrate Rotherham Day, the Rotherham District Civic Society will be showcasing the town's rich history through a series of engaging activities. They will be leading a guided historical walking tour for Year 10 and 11 students through Rotherham town centre from 9.30am to 12.30pm, starting at the Town Hall. In the afternoon, they will host an adult guided walk from 1.00pm to 3.00pm, meeting at the Roman ruins in Clifton Park before walking into the town centre. They will also be delivering a presentation and virtual tour of Rotherham town centre, using historical photographs and PowerPoint, to students at Rotherham College, helping to bring the town's heritage to life for the next generation.
Rush House
We will be hosting a litter pick a few days before Rotherham Day and also organising a garden party (or indoors weather permitting). If anybody wants to donate to Rush to support us to continue to carry out our work, they are able to do so by visiting https://www.rushhouse.co.uk/support-us/donate/
Dragons Tap
The Pub will be open on Rotherham Day from 14.00 to 23.00. Customers will be encouraged to wear RED on the day. Music, with the theme of RED going trough the selection of tunes, will be played from 16.00. A raffle will be run to win a basket of Red grocery produce. The pub will be trimmed with RED party decorations and balloons and it is hoped that a RED ale from Chantry Brewery will be available on the day.
Paws to Hooves
We're proud to be celebrating Rotherham Day and getting involved with our local community! Our shop will be dressed in red decorations, and our team will be wearing red T-shirts throughout the day to show our Rotherham pride. We'll also be hosting a special pet photo shoot, with all proceeds going to charity, giving you the chance to capture a lovely photo of your pet while supporting a great cause. If you'd like to help even further, we'll have a fundraising collection tub in store where every donation, big or small, will make a difference. We'd love for you and your pets to join us as we celebrate our town and raise money for charity together.
Winthrop Gardens
Winthrop Gardens is celebrating Rotherham Day by painting the town red! Join the fun with a sponsored circular walk starting and finishing at Winthrop Gardens, where everyone is encouraged to dress as their favourite red character or simply wear something red. Guests and carers from the Winthrop Memory Café will also be taking part in a sponsored walk around the gardens. The celebrations continue with a special "Paint Winthrop Red" Vintage Afternoon Tea, where visitors are invited to wear a touch of red, and a "Bake Your Cake Red" sponsored baking class at the Rotherham Show, helping to kick off the Rotherham Day celebrations in delicious style.

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice is proud to be a founding charity partner of Rotherham Day. For over 20 years, Bluebell Wood has provided specialist care, respite, emotional support and end-of-life care for babies, children and young adults with life-shortening conditions, as well as their families. We are proud to support many families across Rotherham and to be part of this celebration of our local community. Every pound raised helps us continue providing compassionate care, giving families more precious moments together and ensuring no family faces their journey alone.
